Tobias Panwitz, singer and songwriter of Berlin based band Trailhead, takes you onto the Road to Salamanca. And it feels like listening to a faint breeze rustling the leaves of the big tree you're napping under after a good days walk. Like the sun in the neck, like running along the railroad track to catch that train. A laid back pack of tunes, drifting between americana, country and pop, that make you whistle and hum along, make you listen to words singing of the sea, of fading lovers not quite turning into friends and the endlessly winding dusty trail. These are truly songs from the road. The road within us. Beautifully simple and plain, like the places they sprang from. Tobias Panwitz doesn't reinvent folk music, but he sings it as real as it gets.

Tobias Panwitz, Sänger und Songschreiber der Berliner Band Trailhead, nimmt uns mit auf den Weg nach Salamanca. Und es ist als lausche man dem Wind in den Blättern eines alten Baumes unter dem man Rast von seiner Wanderung hält. Warm wie die Sonne im Nacken, mitreißend wie der Zug auf den man aufspringt um die Welt an sich vorbeiziehen zu sehen, um Bildern und Worten zu lauschen, die zu Melodien werden .. plötzlich summt man mit, denn dies sind zeitlose Folksongs, vertraut und doch neu mit jeder Strophe, jedem Stück Weg, auf den Tobias Panwitz uns mitnimmt. Irgendwo hier sind auch schon Johnny Cash, Neil Young und Neil Finn entlanggekommen ..
