Micah Blue Smaldone
plays in the Portland, Maine band Fire on Fire, featuring members of Cerberus Shoal and released on Young God Records. Occasionally he plays in Death Vessel. He has recently appeared on recordings with Jack Rose, Honest Jon's Open Strings compilation, and a live appearance at VPRO Dwars Festival in Amsterdam. His full length album "The Red River", released by Immune / Thrill Jockey, was mostly written upon returning from an 11 week European tour in the winter of 2007. The album confronts the malevolence we've come to accept in our nature perhaps more out of cynicism than of true understanding. It tells hard tales gently, and in the end offers faith in our capacity for goodness.
